As you may have seen in Jesse and I's most recent Instagram posts, we are moving to San Francisco! For a lot of people it might be a surprise to see that we are moving across the country, but for us it's been a long time coming.

As a young girl I used to dream of living in California. I idolized the lifestyle. Even up to when I got in high school I often contemplated the idea of attending universities in Chicago, CA, or even New York. However, it always seemed like such a daunting step. I loved my family and friends, and this small, but satisfying lifestyle I built for myself in South Carolina. It wasn't until I started college that the dream of moving to a big city started to mold itself back into my life. The more I traveled, the more I thought about where I might want to work and who I might want to work for, the stronger my desire to move grew.

But, it wasn't until after graduation that moving started to become a viable option. Jesse and I have both been fortunate enough to travel these past couple of years, and on many of our trips we would consider the possibility of moving to that location. However our pick in San Francisco was a little bit of a gamble for us. Neither of us had been to the city as adults and weren't sure what to expect except for the vision we had in our heads.

One week before our flight out to apartment hunt, I got three job interview offers. I was so giddy with excitement, and was later offered to come in for an in-person interview with a public relations agency for the following week (which happened to be the week we randomly chose to visit) - all of it felt unreal!

A day after my interview in SF I was offered the job, sitting on a bench with Jesse overlooking the bay and Golden Gate Bridge. I can't even begin to explain the emotions I felt. What a whirlwind of a week it had been for both us - including a couple of tears! But, the moment I accepted the position, everything felt right. It was as if this were the plan all along, and I am just so unbelievably thankful.

Fast forward to Wednesday and we'll be on our way to San Francisco! We are so excited for this next chapter in our lives, and are looking forward to continue sharing it with you all.

This week we say our goodbyes to South Carolina, and hello to San Francisco!
